As we have just discussed, the closed eye, the increased tear production and increased blinking reflex are signs of eye pain and could also be a signs of damage to the structure of the eye.

As agreed, you should contact a veterinary clinic urgently in order to find out if any eye is damaged.  Early treatment is important and can prevent deterioration and identify the cause of the pain.

damaged eyes may become infected and deteriorate rapidly if not attended to as soon as possible.

I recommend that you keep your pet inside and away from bright light as much as possible until the appointment.
